Do your goals tend to stay the same?

Hi there Reader,

Do you do birthday goal setting?

My birthday was yesterday. I had a chance to hang out a bit with my husband and dogs up on the mountains. While there, I took a bit of time to work on my goals for next year. (Yes, it's pretty convenient that my birthday is pretty much at the half-way point for the calendar year...).

The most frustrating part of goal setting for me is when your goals stay the same year after year.

I have had "lose weight" as a goal at least 90% of the lifetime.

Mom had either the best or worst goal setting system. We would write out our goals on New Year's Eve, seal them in an envelope and put them on top of the grandfather clock. We would then open up last year's envelope. There is something to "out of sight out of mind" - most of the time - my new and old goals were *very* similar if not identical.

Sound familiar?

I've found the years where I've broken free of the grandfather clock goals is when I've been able to support other people in reaching their goals.

So this year, I want to help you break free. And, I'm having a mini-birthday collaboration celebration just for you. Here's what's on tap.
